All things good happen in November.
The November Workshop was created by Ashley Beals Pace, who happens to have a birthday in November. And a wedding anniversary, and her favorite holiday, and the conception of her two children. And last but not least, the idea for the November Workshop also happened in this wonderful month.
Born and bred in Tennessee, Ashley earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Tennessee in 2001, and subsequently worked in architecture for four years in both Nashville, Tennessee and New Haven, Connecticut. She moved with her husband to New York City in 2005 to continue her design education at Pratt Institute where she received a Master of Industrial Design degree in May 2007.
Her heart belongs in the South, and she is fascinated by Southern Appalachian craft, especially textile crafts. She is currently exploring design through embroidery, weaving, sewing, and screenprinting.
